HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – The 27-year-old woman who police say was behind a murder-suicide in Hallandale Beach was working as a model in New York.

Sabrina Dzaferovic lived on the corner of 21st Street and 35th Avenue in Astoria, a neighborhood in Queens mixed with immigrants from the Balkan countries. There was a Behind the Scenes profile with headshots and photos of herself in a bikini on a motorcycle. A few years ago, a photojournalist filmed the voluptuous model walking through Times Square. Detectives identified Dzaferovic as Sabrina Krasniqi, the woman who fatally shot her husband, Pajtim Krasniqi, and then on the balcony of Beach Club II, apartment 4508, at 1830 South Ocean Drive in Hallandale Beach, on Wednesday. He was a 34-year-old Albanian American from New York and Peja, Kosovo. He survived a motorcycle accident in 2018.

A Shooting Spotter recorded five rapid gunshots being fired, a brief pause, and a sixth gunshot. Albana Krasniqi wrote on Facebook that her sister-in-law shot her younger brother five times in the chest on Thanksgiving Eve.

“He betrayed her, his love and her trust. It tore my family apart. My siblings and I will never be the same. I fear my mother will never recover,” the grieving woman wrote on Thursday.

Aerial footage of the ocean view apartment shows a heart-shaped box filled with roses and a teddy bear. Yellow and white awnings covered their bodies on the balcony. Detectives were still investigating the motive when Vox News Albania reported that “adultery was suspected as the motive.”
