HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an early morning crash in Horry County that left one person dead and another injured.

Troopers were called to East Isle of Palms Boulevard and Middleton Drive just before 3 a.m. for a 2018 Chrystler Sedan that crashed into two cars and a home.

SCHP’s Corporal Nick Pye said the sedan was traveling west on East Isle of Palms Boulevard, running off the left side of the roadway, striking a Land Rover and BMW and then crashing into a home.

While the driver of the car died in the accident, the passenger was injured and taken to hospitals in the region.

The name of the person killed has not yet been disclosed.
