A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in El Cajon and two other men were detained by police for questioning, authorities said Friday.

Officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 6 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Mollison Boulevard, just a few blocks away at the intersection of East Madison Avenue. El Cajon Valley High Schoolaccording to El Cajon Police Department.

“Upon arrival, officers located a male with life-threatening stab wounds,” the department said.

paramedics Heartland Fire Following the intervention of medical teams who arrived at the scene, the injured person was taken to a nearby hospital and died a short time later.

The two men were taken to ECPD for questioning and the department does not believe there are any suspects, authorities said.

The victim was an El Cajon resident, but his name was not immediately available.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the stabbing.
