An 18-year-old British girl is fighting for her life after being involved in a horrific car crash in Albania.

Horror struck the central Albanian village of Belsh on 22 November as Pamela Mema, from north London, set out to celebrate her sister’s 24th birthday party.

The 18-year-old was described as ‘beautiful, smart and strong’ with ‘her whole life ahead of her’.

The woman, who was hospitalized, is currently fighting for her life in a medically induced coma.

Pamela’s family and friends are desperately trying to raise money to send her back to the UK for treatment.

A GoFundMe page has raised more than £73,000 for the 18-year-old in just two days.

Eshli Haxhiasllani, who organized the fundraiser, wrote: ‘On November 22, 2024, our beautiful, intelligent and strong Pamela Mema was involved in a car accident in the village of Belsh, Albania, on her way to celebrate her sister’s 24th birthday.

Since the age of 22, Pamela has been fighting for her life in hospitals in Albania.

‘We now urgently need to get Pamela back home to London so we can get the best medical care she needs from doctors we trust and put our trust in Air Ambulance.

‘Pamela is only 18 and has her whole life ahead of her and any donations to bring our Pam home and help her receive the best possible care would be greatly appreciated.’
