Sarah, Duchess of York, and her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, call themselves “tripods.”

The 65-year-old author and philanthropist shared that he, Beatrice, 36, and Eugenie, 34, whose father is Prince Andrew, gave themselves the nickname because they always “support each other” through life’s ups and downs.

Speaking of being “spoiled” by her daughters at Christmas, she told British magazine Bella: “We spoil each other.

“We call each other ‘tripods’ because we are always there to support each other and Christmas is no different.

“The girls and their husbands always buy me the most thoughtful gifts, and I try to pick out something nice for them.”

Beatrice is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (Mozzi also has eight-year-old Wolfie from a previous relationship and three-year-old Sienna with the royal family), and has sons Eugenie due August 3 and Ernest, 15. She has been with her husband Jack Brooksbank for months.

And Sarah says Christmas is “all about the kids.”

She said: “Christmas is all about the kids so grandchildren are at the center of everything these days.

“We love silent movies. I’ve never been a good cook, so I’m lucky enough to leave that to others.”

Sarah spent the holidays at the royal family’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, but refuses to cover up what happened.

He said: “I was lucky to be invited to spend Christmas with the royal family in recent years, but I wouldn’t dream of talking about it.”

Sarah divorced disgraced royal Prince Andrew in 1996 after a decade of dating, but they remain close to this day.

The 64-year-old royal, brother of King Charles and son of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, has kept a low profile since coming under fire for the late pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and the fallout from his friendship with him. He denies the financier’s claim that he had sex with Virginia Giuffre, one of the trafficking victims.

Following the scandal, Andrew was stripped of his military titles and use of HRH.

However, Sarah promised her late mother that she would keep an eye on her.

Sarah said on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ that Andrew had been there for her during her “darkest times” despite them no longer being a couple: “We are more divorced than married and I believe in three rules: communication, compromise and compassion.

“That’s what I do with (Andrew). We get along well because he was always there for me during the darkest times of my life.

“I will be there for him in the darkest time of his life. The Queen of England and her mother were also with her.

“I told his mother before she died, ‘I will be there for her, I will help her on this journey.’

“We all have journeys; we just need to be there with kindness and without judgment.
